Our History x
Bobby Sparks was established in 2016 and is a small local electrical firm based in the Denmead, Hampshire region of the south coast.
The name Bobby Sparks originates from a large family of brothers, who after serving in the British Armed Forces during and just after the Second World War, all worked in a number of construction trades in the South East London area, some moving locally to Cowplain soon after.
Bobby Sparks was the nick name of one of these brothers Bob Starkey who worked in the construction industry until his death in 2002. His trustworthy reputation of skilled work, fair price and high standards earnt him the highest regards from both the colleagues he worked with and his extensive customer base.
As the next generation those fundamental traits and reputation remain in our business today the now mainly focused on providing electrical installations, testing and consultations for domestic, commercial and industrial projects we offer a friendly and honest package to suit all needs, both large and small.

Landlord Electrical Regulations
All private landlords in England will now be required to have their rental properties inspected and tested to ensure the electrical installation fitted is safe. To do this it requires a qualified and competent electrician that should be part of a government registered scheme, like NAPIT. These electrical safety inspections are carried out in the form of an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) and are required at least every five years. Landlords will have to provide a copy of the electrical safety report to their tenants, letting agency and to their local authority or insurance broker if requested. Contact us to book yours today.

With all our new work an Installation Certificate and Commissioning Report will follow and where required Building Control Approval obtained.
